Vanderlande, a company specializing in warehouse automation solutions, has announced a collaboration with Hai Robotics to enhance its offerings in North America. The collaboration will introduce Hai Robotics’ Automated Case-Handling Mobile Robots (ACRs) into Vanderlande’s Tote AV portfolio, expanding the company’s capabilities in warehouse automation.
ACRs are designed to improve case and tote handling in warehouses by operating in a fully automated, ground-based system. These robots offer flexibility, making them suitable for both new (greenfield) and existing (brownfield) warehouses, allowing businesses to upgrade their facilities with minimal disruption. The robots can function in various racking systems and do not require extensive environmental modifications for installation. This collaboration will provide an alternative to Vanderlande’s shuttle-based ADAPTO automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS), offering solutions for facilities where shuttle systems may not be ideal.
Greg Conner, president of warehouse solutions at Vanderlande, emphasized the importance of this partnership in enabling companies to quickly deploy automated picking and storage solutions or modernize older facilities. The integration of Hai Robotics’ ACR technology is expected to increase operational efficiency, reduce storage space, and improve order throughput and accuracy.
Matt Kelly, Director of Strategic Partnerships at Hai Robotics USA, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting how it combines cutting-edge robotics with Vanderlande’s automation expertise to offer businesses improved scalability and efficiency.
