Danish brewer Carlsberg has published a video celebrating innovation in Denmakrk, inclusing the Copbots from Universal Robots. Carlsberg’s Fredericia brewery in Denmark has integrated collaborative robots from Universal Robots to enhance workplace safety and efficiency. The brewery implemented two models: the UR3 and UR10. The UR10 handles stacks of packaging cartons, while the UR3 cuts and disposes of packaging cables. Together, they process up to 500 cartons per hour, reducing the manual workload and minimizing risks such as repetitive strain injuries and cuts from packaging materials.
Following this success, Carlsberg acquired four additional cobots to further automate tasks, including handling lids during the bottling process. This initiative aligns with Carlsberg’s ‘Together Towards Zero’ program, aiming for zero accidents in the workplace.
