Eurofighters deployed by the Spanish airforce will receive avionics by Indra with the ability to self-diagnose the status of nearly twenty critical combat aircraft systems. Indra has been awarded the MP C16 R&D project, the use of a system based on AI for predictive maintenance of avionics in C.16 Eurofighter. The contract is worth more than half a million euros.
The system is meant to detect in advance possible failures in critical elements, and will verify that the aircraft is in perfect condition before takeoff. The system will analyze huge volumes of data collected by the Eurofighter systems, look for anomalous behavior, and record the exact environmental conditions in which an anomaly has occurred. It will classify the data to train the system, thus increasing its performance. precision progressively.
