Milrem Robotics has entered into a distribution agreement with Spanish defence company EINSA to market and support its unmanned ground systems in Spain. Under the terms of the partnership, EINSA will oversee the commercial promotion, customer support, repair, modernization, and potential local manufacturing of Milrem platforms within the Spanish market.
The agreement enables EINSA to provide additional units of Milrem’s THeMIS unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) to the Spanish armed forces. The THeMIS UGV is currently in use or part of robotics programs in 19 countries and has been deployed in Ukraine for functions such as casualty evacuation and route clearance.
Milrem Robotics’ Chief Sales Officer Patrick Shepherd stated that the partnership with EINSA is intended to expand the availability of the company’s unmanned systems to Spanish defence and security organisations. David Ayala, Managing Director of EINSA, said the collaboration combines both companies’ portfolios of uncrewed ground solutions, supporting a broader offering of wheeled and tracked vehicles and payload integration capabilities.
EINSA, headquartered in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, specializes in the development and production of ground support equipment for both civil and military aviation, as well as tactical and logistical vehicles. The company operates with an international focus and offers technological solutions tailored to customer requirements.
