Seegrid Corporation, provider of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for material handling, announced the addition of a Robots as a Service (RaaS) subscription model. The additional purchasing model provides customers with more alternatives to get access to the latest Seegrid Palion AMR fleet and enterprise software solutions.
In addition to the new subscription model, the company will continue to offer its customers options to purchase equipment outright, as well as various leasing models. Seegrid material handling experts will also help its manufacturing, e-commerce, and logistics RaaS customers—who are facing intense competition to meet increasing demands, labor shortages, and supply chain uncertainties—understand and define automation applications to ensure seamless implementation, integration, and adoption of Seegrid automation solutions into current operations.
Investment
A RaaS model offers customers a lower cost of upfront investment, as well as an opportunity to subscribe for access to a complete, connected, and interoperable autonomous mobile robotic fleet with the latest enhancements. Seegrid is rapidly expanding their AMR portfolio and capabilities, recently announcing enhancements to their Palion Tow Tractor, Palion Pallet Truck capabilities, and premiering its first Palion Lift AMR this year. The company plans to continue the rapid advancement of their mobile automation technologies, dedicating an entire team of world-class automation experts, many with Ph.D. level expertise in robotics and computer vision systems, to solely focus on research and development.
Powered by proprietary algorithms, which fuse Seegrid’s proven computer vision system with real-time sensor data, Seegrid Palion AMRs have been performing and reporting on tasks safely and productively for more than 5 million autonomous miles in dynamic customer environments.
