Pudu Robotics has received the 2025 Red Dot Award for Product Design for its AI-powered robotic sweeper, the PUDU MT1. This is the company’s third Red Dot recognition, following awards in 2017 and 2023.
The PUDU MT1 was launched in September 2024 and is designed for large-scale cleaning environments. According to Pudu Robotics, the robot incorporates artificial intelligence to detect and classify waste, initiating cleaning tasks based on real-time need. It is equipped with smart spot cleaning capabilities, a high-resolution scanning field, and autonomous navigation systems that include Lidar SLAM and VSLAM technologies. Additional features include a high-flow negative pressure exhaust system intended to limit secondary pollution, as well as an intuitive touchscreen and modular design aimed at simplifying operation and maintenance. The device also supports IoT integration for autonomous multi-floor operation.
The Red Dot Design Award, established in 1955, is presented to products that demonstrate innovation in areas such as functionality and usability. The PUDU MT1 was selected from a pool of international entries. Pudu Robotics’ previous accolades include the “Best of the Best” Red Dot Award in 2017 for its first delivery robot and a 2023 Product Design award for the PUDU CC1 commercial cleaning robot. In 2025, its upright scrubber dryer, the PUDU SH1, also received recognition from the iF Design Award.
