Overwatch, a British aerospace and defence company specializing in unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and Estonia-based Milrem Robotics , have signed a collaboration agreement to advance the development, production, and global sales of unmanned defence solutions.
As part of the agreement, the companies will conduct joint research and development efforts to explore the integration of Overwatch’s UAVs with Milrem Robotics’ unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The initiative aims to enhance interoperability between aerial and ground-based autonomous systems. The collaboration will also include joint testing and evaluation to refine operational capabilities under real-world conditions.
Drew Michael, CEO of Overwatch, stated that the partnership seeks to leverage the companies’ respective expertise to enhance unmanned defence capabilities. Kuldar Väärsi, CEO of Milrem Robotics, emphasized the potential for expanding product portfolios and developing integrated solutions to improve mission effectiveness.
In addition to technological collaboration, the companies will coordinate marketing efforts to extend their market reach beyond their domestic regions and explore new business opportunities in the global defence sector.
