The 90th China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF), scheduled to take place in Shenzhen from October 12th to 15th, 2024, will highlight medical robotics technology. With a market value of $179 billion, China’s medical device industry continues to grow, and this year’s CMEF is set to showcase innovative products from over 4,000 enterprises.

One of the prominent features at the exhibition will be the advancements in robotics technology, particularly the Endoscopic Surgical Robot, which has been successfully used in over 20 hospitals and has assisted in more than 300 surgeries. This robot, equipped with a 3D high-definition vision system and a flexible mechanical arm, demonstrates the integration of intelligent technology in enhancing medical accuracy and efficiency. The exhibition will serve as a global platform for international exchanges and collaborations, further driving the progress of the medical device industry.

The fair will also feature innovative portable medical devices designed to improve first aid efficiency, addressing the growing public awareness of the importance of on-site rescue operations due to escalating extreme weather events. An example includes a portable emergency-specific Digital Radiography (DR) system that weighs only 23 kilograms, features an internal power supply, and allows for X-ray imaging and diagnosis.

Additionally, the integration of the Internet of Things (IoT) in medical devices is set to elevate patient experience by improving the efficiency of medical services. An advanced medical imaging IT solution that connects multiple imaging modalities and medical institutions will be showcased, highlighting a notable implementation between Shenzhen Baoan People’s Hospital and Zayu People’s Hospital.
