by Pieter Werner

Lukas Podolski’s kebab franchise, Mangal x LP10, will deploy 2,400 autonomous food robots from Circus across Germany and Europe starting in 2025. The collaboration, which could generate approximately EUR 400 million in cumulative revenue for Circus SE, aims to revolutionize the fast-food industry by introducing the world’s first fully autonomous food franchise concept.

The partnership involves the planned integration of Circus SE’s CA-1 food robots in Mangal x LP10’s operations, with an initial focus on flagship stores in the Cologne and Düsseldorf areas. Over the next few years, the deployment is expected to expand to 1,600 units in Germany and 800 in Poland, contingent on Mangal x LP10’s growth targets.

Mangal x LP10, known for its Turkish-inspired cuisine, intends to enhance its offerings by combining traditional flavors with cutting-edge robotics. The first fully autonomous kebab shop is scheduled to open in 2025, aiming to set new standards for efficiency, hygiene, and consistent food quality in the fast-food sector.

Circus SE, recognized for its advanced autonomous kitchen systems, sees this partnership as a milestone in the global food service market, aligning its technological innovations with Mangal x LP10’s commitment to authenticity and quality. The collaboration marks a significant step in the evolution of food franchising, as Mangal x LP10 strives to maintain its industry leadership while embracing automation.
