IDS Imaging Development Systems will showcase 2D, 3D, and AI-based vision systems at SPS Smart Production Solutions 2024, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from November 12 to 14. The company will present a range of products aimed at enhancing automation processes, with a focus on robotics and process automation.
Among the highlights will be the introduction of the uEye Live product line, designed for continuous monitoring and process documentation via live-streaming industrial cameras. The company will also present a new event-based sensor for efficient motion analysis and high-speed counting, which offers pixel-level continuous detection, providing a faster alternative to conventional image-by-image analysis.
In addition to 2D vision systems, IDS will exhibit its latest 3D technology, including the stereo vision camera Ensenso B, designed for precision tasks such as close-range object picking. The company will also unveil a prototype of its first fully in-house developed time-of-flight camera. IDS will highlight its AI capabilities with DENKnet OCR, a tool that facilitates robust character and symbol recognition for automated surface analysis.
As a first-time participant at SPS, IDS will join around 1,200 other exhibitors to showcase its contribution to smart and digital automation. The company, which has over 25 years of experience in industrial image processing, aims to demonstrate the critical role that advanced vision systems play in modern automated environments.
