Hai Robotics Wins Red Dot Award

by Pieter Werner

Hai Robotics announced that its Autonomous Case-handling Mobile Robot (ACR), the HaiPick A3S, received the Red Dot Award for Product Design 2024. This award recognizes products that demonstrate high design quality, covering aspects such as functionality, usability, and responsible design.

The HaiPick A3S is designed for Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) scenarios in the electronics industry, particularly for storage and line-side case handling. It features precise picking capabilities, with an ultra-low picking height of 200mm and a slim chassis of 650mm, catering to the needs of 3C manufacturing clients. The robot also offers flexible handling, high compatibility with various magazine sizes, and the ability to switch seamlessly between storage and production lines. Safety is a key focus, with 360-degree obstacle avoidance, shockproof and anti-fall design, and a SLAM navigation system that enables safe and flexible route planning within warehouses.

Rebin Wu, System Product Manager at Hai Robotics, expressed pride in the recognition, highlighting the company’s commitment to innovation and quality. Nathan Zeng, President of Hai Robotics SEA and ANZ, noted the significance of this award in supporting the needs of Southeast Asia’s electronics manufacturers, emphasizing the robot’s user-friendliness and safety.

The Red Dot Design Award, established nearly 70 years ago, is one of the most prestigious design competitions globally. This year’s submissions were evaluated by a jury of 39 experts from 20 countries. The HaiPick A3S was recently showcased at SEMICON Southeast Asia in Malaysia. Currently, the HaiPick A3S is available in select regions.
