Brett Adcock, CEO of Figure, has announced the signing of its second commercial customer, expanding its deployment of humanoid robots. The company now projects the potential shipment of 100,000 robots over the next four years.
Internally, Figure is focusing on two markets: commercial applications and the home. In the commercial sector, the company is prioritizing a small number of clients, aiming for vertical growth within existing partnerships rather than broad distribution.
Figure’s first commercial customer, BMW, signed a year ago, currently operates a fleet of Figure’s robots in end-to-end operations. The company’s newest customer, described as one of the largest U.S. companies, is expected to enable higher shipment volumes, contributing to cost reductions and AI data collection.
Figure recently began running an end-to-end neural network for the new client’s specific use case. The company emphasizes that AI learning is essential for this application, as writing heuristics for the task would be impractical. Looking ahead, Figure plans to continue refining its robots for high-speed, high-performance tasks and will provide updates as development progresses.
