The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), scheduled to run from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, will have a dedicated robot zone as part of its expanded thematic exhibition structure. This newly established service robot zone will be part of the “Advanced Manufacturing” theme. It will present a range of robotic technologies designed for personal, domestic, and industrial applications, reflecting the increasing integration of automation across sectors.
Organizers confirmed the robot zone as part of 172 product zones across 55 exhibition sections. The Fair, which spans 1.55 million square meters, is expected to accommodate about 31,000 exhibitors and nearly 74,000 booths. Participation in the National Pavilion has also reached a record high, exceeding 30,000 exhibitors for the first time.
The service robot zone marks a continued emphasis on intelligent manufacturing and digital technology, aligning with broader trends highlighted by nearly 3,700 participating companies involved in sectors such as new energy vehicles, lithium batteries, and smart manufacturing solutions. The debut of this zone is part of a broader effort to showcase developments in automation and robotics to a global buyer audience.
The Fair’s digital infrastructure has also been upgraded. The Canton Fair App now includes distinct versions for buyers and suppliers, while enhancements to the online platform aim to streamline matchmaking and trade facilitation. Organizers will hold over 1,000 trade promotion events, including industry forums, product launches, and livestreaming sessions to support engagement both onsite and remotely.
