Baird Medical Investment Holdings has received the “Most Valuable Investment Award” at the 10th China Medical Industry Innovation Competition for its AI Tumor Ablation Surgical Robot. The award recognizes technologies assessed to have strong investment potential within the medical sector.
The AI Tumor Ablation Surgical Robot developed by Baird Medical is designed for microwave ablation procedures, with features intended to improve precision, automation, and real-time clinical decision-making. According to the company, the robot supports interventional oncology practices by incorporating artificial intelligence into minimally invasive treatments.
In a statement, Baird Medical Chairwoman Haimei Wu said the award reflects the company’s efforts to advance AI-powered surgical systems.
Baird Medical, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker BDMD, develops medical devices focused on minimally invasive diagnostics and treatment. The company has FDA 510(k) clearance and reports that its technologies are in use at various U.S. healthcare institutions, including Johns Hopkins Hospital, Tulane Medical Center, Weill Cornell Medicine, and Columbia University Medical Center. In China, it is a supplier of thyroid microwave ablation devices and consumables. Its international presence currently spans over 20 countries.
