One of the most prominent exhibits was Xpeng Aeroht’s modular flying car, the “Land Aircraft Carrier.” This prototype, designed as a conventional sports car that can ascend vertically, represents a significant step toward making personal aviation a reality. Set to be available for sale in 2030, the vehicle operates entirely on electricity and can reach altitudes of up to 1,000 meters. Hidden propellers allow for smooth transitions between driving and flying. Tan Wang, Co-founder and Vice-President of Xpeng Aeroht, discussed the challenges in improving technology, ensuring safety, and establishing regulatory frameworks for the integration of flying vehicles into public transportation systems.
The event also focused on ground-based autonomous technologies, such as the world’s first autonomous parking robot, Parkie, which was introduced by HL Mando. Parkie uses advanced autonomous driving technology to optimize parking lot space and reduce the inconvenience caused by human errors in parking. This innovation is expected to increase parking efficiency by up to 30%.
Another significant breakthrough came from ADNOC Distribution, which presented its autonomous robotic arm concept designed to revolutionize electric vehicle (EV) charging. Equipped with AI, the robotic arm autonomously initiates and completes the charging process, enabling a seamless and efficient experience for EV users.
