FANUC America has launched the CRX-10iA/L Paint, a collaborative robot designed for industrial painting and coating applications. Showcased at Automate in Chicago, this cobot is an explosion-proof collaborative paint robot available for global use. It is expected to facilitate the adoption of automation in industries involved in painting, powder coating, and gel coating, particularly those using fiberglass reinforcement.
This new cobot is said to meet the explosion-proof safety standards applicable in the U.S. and other regions. Ed Minch, Sales Director for Auto Component & General Industry Paint at FANUC America, emphasizes that the CRX-10iA/L Paint cobot provides a valuable automation option for businesses aiming to improve production efficiency and quality. Its “easy-teach” programming features, such as drag-and-drop and “lead through teach,” make it accessible even for operations with limited robotics experience.
The CRX-10iA/L Paint has a payload of 10 kg and a 1,418 mm reach. Its design and 45 kg weight ensure flexibility in accessing complex workpieces while maintaining a small footprint. Compliance with global safety certifications, including IECEx, ATEX, and standards across several countries, further enhances its adaptability.
The cobot integrates seamlessly with other equipment and software used in painting and coating, offering path editing and optimization through ROBOGUIDE software. Its is compatible with the FANUC CRX Tablet Teach Pendant.
