Automate 2025: OnRobot to Debut Plug-and-Play Automation

by Pieter Werner

OnRobot is set to demonstrate its D:PLOY automation platform at the Automate 2025 trade show, taking place in Detroit from May 12 to 15. The company will exhibit at booth #3618 in collaboration with integration partner EMI. The presentation will include a live demonstration of a D:PLOY packaging application utilizing the VGC10 gripper, which OnRobot states can be deployed within hours without requiring programming.

D:PLOY is described by OnRobot as an automatic development platform for collaborative and industrial robots, enabling configuration of robotic systems for high-mix manufacturing environments. The platform is designed to facilitate rapid, same-day installation with full pricing transparency. According to the company, this approach allows manufacturers to manage robotic deployment independently, with a typical return on investment projected within one year.

In addition to D:PLOY, OnRobot will highlight its One System Solution, which supports compatibility of its end-of-arm tooling across various robot brands. The system is intended to enable tool changes without rewiring or reprogramming, aiming to simplify adaptation to new applications.

Several grippers will be on display at the show, including the 2FG14, 3FG25, and VGP30 models. The VGP30 is a pneumatic vacuum gripper designed for high-payload palletizing, with features such as intelligent vacuum control for energy efficiency. Other tools, including the 2FG7, 3FG15, and Soft Gripper, will also be featured at EMI’s display.
