Heima announces humanoid robot for home use

by Pieter Werner

Brooklyn-based Heima has announced the upcoming development of A.D.A.M. (Autonomous Dynamic Artificial Man), a humanoid robot designed for home use. The company describes A.D.A.M. as a general-purpose household assistant capable of learning and adapting to user needs through advanced algorithms.

According to Heima Inc. CEO Greg Wood, the robot is designed to transition from reactive automation to proactive service, learning over 2,000 household interactions to anticipate needs. The device is intended to assist with tasks such as household chores, meal preparation, and inventory management. It features a mobile design for movement throughout the home and processes data on-device to prioritize user privacy.

Heima Inc. combines algorithm development from Hangzhou, China, with manufacturing operations in the United States. The company aims to position itself in the growing household robotics sector, which is projected to reach $30 billion by 2030. A.D.A.M. is scheduled for launch in the first quarter of 2026.
