Milrem Robotics and Electro Optic Systems (EOS) have signed a cooperation agreement at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi to integrate EOS’ R400 remote weapon system with Milrem Robotics’ THeMIS unmanned ground vehicle. The collaboration aims to enhance the operational capabilities of unmanned ground systems (UGS) for military applications, with initial deployment planned in the United Arab Emirates and potential use in Ukraine and NATO countries.
The integration of the R400 system with the THeMIS platform is designed to provide a remotely operated, modular combat solution that enhances firepower and situational awareness in battlefield environments. The companies will jointly test and refine the system to ensure compatibility and effectiveness in various operational scenarios. Milrem Robotics CEO Kuldar Väärsi stated that the partnership underscores a commitment to advancing unmanned combat technologies through continuous development and integration. EOS CEO Dr. Andreas Schwer emphasized that combining the R400 with the THeMIS creates a field-ready solution that improves the effectiveness and safety of UGV operations.
