The 26th China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF 2024) concluded on November 16 in Shenzhen, China, with an intended transaction volume exceeding CNY 120 billion (approximately USD 16.6 billion). The event, which hosted 5,000 high-tech enterprises and organizations from over 100 countries and regions, facilitated 869 on-site contract signings and showcased a wide array of technological advancements, including many robots.
This year’s fair, themed “Technology Leads Development, Industry Integrates Fusion,” featured 17 fast-growing sectors and 22 professional exhibitions. Approximately 400,000 attendees participated, engaging in over 160 activities, including forums, conferences, business matchmaking events, roadshows, product launches, and signing ceremonies. A total of 4,300 new products and technologies were unveiled.
Prominent companies such as BYD, NIO, Huawei, and Chery presented innovations in new energy vehicles and robotics. The showcased technologies are expected to accelerate the adoption of humanoid robots across various applications. The event also included global buyer-supplier matchmaking sessions, attracting over 1,000 procurement groups and 3,000 investment institutions. Delegations from countries such as Singapore, Brazil, Iran, and Russia joined domestic participants, including major corporations like Tencent, ByteDance, and Xiaomi.
Prominently featured were humanoid robots, designed to replicate human appearance and behavior. These robots showed visitors their ability to walk, interact, and perform tasks that could be beneficial in education, healthcare, and customer service. Another development was seen in robot mechanical hands, featuring precise and dexterous finger movements. Service robots showcased the practical applications of automation in hospitality and retail.
