Pudu Robotics Launches Latest Version of FlashBot

by Pieter Werner

Pudu Robotics has unveiled the latest version of its building delivery robot, FlashBot, aimed at improving delivery services in smart buildings, both indoors and in semi-outdoor environments. Announced on October 23, 2024, the upgraded FlashBot introduces new features that expand its operational capabilities, particularly in areas where traditional indoor delivery robots have been limited.

The new FlashBot is equipped with Pudu VSLAM+ technology, which enhances its navigation accuracy, allowing it to operate effectively in mixed environments, including gardens, poolside areas, and terraces. This makes it suitable for a variety of settings such as hotels, office buildings, and hospitals. It also integrates with IoT devices for comprehensive building management, including systems like access control, elevators, and Bluetooth speakers, allowing for seamless autonomous delivery across multiple floors.

A standout feature of the new FlashBot is its ability to integrate with major elevator systems like KONE and OTIS without requiring modifications, streamlining deployment across different facilities. FlashBot’s mapping capabilities enable efficient management of multi-floor buildings, further enhancing its operational efficiency. Additionally, it features modular compartments with advanced security and hygiene measures, ensuring secure and clean deliveries.

Felix Zhang, CEO of Pudu Robotics, highlighted the company’s focus on innovation and customer needs with the upgraded FlashBot, emphasizing its versatility and ability to deliver consistent, high-quality services across various settings. This launch aligns with Pudu Robotics’ broader mission to advance intelligent service robotics globally, positioning FlashBot as a key component in the development of smart buildings and smart cities.
