THG Fulfill robotizes warehouse

by Pieter Werner

Geek+, a provider of mobile robots and smart logistics solutions, has deployed a fleet of Goods-to-Person robots to support the fulfilment operations of THG Fulfil, the logistics arm of THG Ingenuity. This initiative aims to enhance THG Fulfil’s warehouse performance, enabling the company to handle palletised items of varying sizes and meet growing consumer demand for late-night shopping. THG Fulfil currently offers a 1 a.m. Next Day Delivery service for its brands such as ESPA and LOOKFANTASTIC, as well as for third-party clients.

The introduction of Geek+ robots is part of a broader strategy to improve order fulfilment efficiency and customer satisfaction, while also providing scalability and real-time analytics through an advanced software platform. With these automation solutions, THG Fulfil now processes 95% of all units sold through automated systems, allowing for the handling of items across various categories.

Simon Houghton, Director of Sales for UKI-EMEA at Geek+, commented that the adaptability of their mobile robotics solutions enables clients, such as THG Fulfil, to meet diverse business needs, including pallet movement. Tom Killeen, COO of THG Fulfil, emphasized that automation has become crucial for the company’s operations, reducing complexity while improving efficiency and expanding its ability to serve a broader range of brands and retailers.

The deployment at THG Fulfil represents Geek+’s 19th customer in the UK and Ireland, highlighting the company’s expanding presence in the region.
