AGIBOT launches five humanoid robots

by Marco van der Hoeven

Shanghai-based AGIBOT has introduced five new commercial humanoid robots at its annual product event. The newly launched robots belong to the “Yuanzheng” and “Lingxi” series. Among them are the Yuanzheng A2, an interactive service robot; the Yuanzheng A2-W, which is tailored for flexible manufacturing; the heavy-duty Yuanzheng A2-Max; the Lingxi X1, an open-source robot developed by Zhiyuan X-Lab; and the specialized data acquisition robot Lingxi X1-W.

In addition to the new models, AGIBOT presented its roadmap for embodied intelligence, referred to as G1-G5, and introduced the AIDEA embodied intelligence data system. These developments highlight the company’s advancements in power, perception, communication, and control technologies. A particular point of interest from the event was the Lingxi X1 robot, which AGIBOT is offering as a fully open-source product at no cost to developers, including access to its design schematics, software frameworks, middleware source code, and basic operational algorithms.

AGIBOT’s partner and vice president of marketing services, Jiang Qingsong, stated that the company’s bipedal humanoid robots are expected to enter mass production by October, with an estimated monthly output of 100 units. The company forecasts total shipments this year to be around 300 units, comprising approximately 200 humanoid robots and 100 wheeled robots, with expectations that final production numbers will exceed these projections.
