SAP has announced the launch of Joule, an AI assistant utilizing natural language processing, intended to support operational processes within businesses. Joule will be embedded within SAP’s cloud enterprise portfolio and is designed to provide insights based on data from SAP solutions and third-party sources.
Joule is designed to deliver proactive, contextualized insights by rapidly sorting and contextualizing data from various systems, allowing users to complete work more quickly and achieve better business outcomes in a secure and compliant manner. Joule will be integrated across various SAP applications, including HR, finance, supply chain, procurement, and customer experience.
Usage and Application
The user experience with Joule is akin to consulting with a colleague; users can ask questions or present problems in everyday language and receive answers based on a wide range of business data. This offers the potential for companies to make informed decisions and enhance operational efficiency.
Joule will be made available later this year with SAP SuccessFactors solutions and the SAP Start site. Further integration into other SAP solutions, such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud, will occur early next year, with additional updates to be announced in the coming months during various SAP events.
