This year’s Odense Investor Summit held at automatica, the world’s leading smart automation and robotics exhibition in Munich, showcased the potential future of the robotics industry with nine strong cases vying for recognition. After an intensive pitch process and questioning from an expert panel, Aim Robotics emerged as the winners of the 2023 Odense Investor Summit.
Aim Robotics’ CEO & Founder, Mie Haraldsted, expressed her delight at receiving the Investors’ Choice Award. “Being a startup requires immense dedication and perseverance,” said Haraldsted. “I am extremely honored to receive this recognition, competing against a multitude of outstanding companies.”
The panel of experts evaluated the startups on technological readiness, funding, and investment strategy. The prestigious award was co-sponsored by Odense Robotics Startup Fund and R-24, key partners in Odense’s thriving robotics ecosystem.
Business Development Manager at R-24, Katarina Deylami, explained their decision to sponsor the award, stressing the shared ambition to help startups bring innovative ideas, products, and solutions into the robotics sector.
The Odense Investor Summit, hosted by FundingBox and Invest in Odense, aims to bridge the gap between capital-seeking companies and investors. Odense, Denmark’s largest hub for robotics companies and home to Europe’s biggest robotics cluster, Odense Robotics, offers a unique ecosystem where emerging talents can learn and innovate.
Martyna Waliszewska, Investment Manager at Invest in Odense, underlined their ambition to highlight the unique ecosystem and deal flow within robotics and automation in Europe. The aim, according to Waliszewska, is to lead the conversation about ‘what’s next’ in collaborative robotics and connect the next generation of entrepreneurs with the right investors.
Since its establishment in 2016, Invest in Odense has secured more than €900 million in investments and helped over 160 companies settle in the city, creating more than 9,600 jobs. The organization focuses on various fields, from robotics, drones, and automation to medical cannabis, with a goal to make Odense the best city in Denmark for startups to scale and grow.
