Microsoft will be offering AI as part of Microsoft Teams Premium. With this integration Teams Premium uses technologies like Large Language Models powered by OpenAI’s GPT-3.5, to make meetings more intelligent and personalized.
As many organizations pay for meeting solutions and also purchase add-on products for webinars, virtual appointments, meeting intelligence, and more Microsoft wants customers to get these meeting capabilities and more for USD10 per user per month. Microsoft is infusing AI throughout Teams, helping users with things like intelligent recap which automatically generates meeting notes, recommends tasks, and highlights information most important to the user. AI-generated chapters divide the meeting into sections, to pick and choose the content most relevant. Intelligent recap will automatically generate meeting chapters based on the meeting transcript as well.
AI will help in working with people who natively speak different languages. Real-time captions will be shown in the spoken language. Live translations for captions is available in Teams Premium, to get AI-powered real-time translations from 40 spoken languages. Meeting participants can read captions in their own language. Only the meeting organizer needs to have Teams Premium for all meeting attendees to use live translations.
